SPOCOM LAS VEGAS 2024
For the first time in Las Vegas, SPOCOM made its way into hosting an automotive showcase for some of the best builds in the region. We had an opportunity to attend this event and it was great to see a gathering of enthusiasts from all over, from familiar local faces to ones who traveled across states just to be part of the show.
The event was hosted at the M Casino in southern Las Vegas. Held outdoors, a specific area of the parking lot was dedicated to the show. Being our first time at a SPOCOM show, we really didn’t know what to expect.
At first glance, you see a vast diversity of builds from street cars, show cars, VIP, off-road, exotics, lowriders, and dedicated track builds. The show in itself was fairly small, but completely understandable as their first time in Vegas. Regardless, the turnout didn’t disappoint.
Because the show was in a parking lot outdoors, shade was scarce. The Vegas heat came early this year and being out in the sun during the day was rough on the body as well as camera gear. As we were taking photos and videos, our gear started to overheat so we decided to leave the show to get some food and came back when the sun started setting. Looking over the schedule, we missed a few musical performances and the model bikini contest but we managed to arrive when the awards were being given out so the majority of the crowd was gathered at the stage. This gave us every opportunity to start spreading out to do our thing.
Near the end of the show, we focused on the roll out. It went by smoothly and we were able to capture cars we missed or didn’t have the best angle capturing photos while parked.
Overall, SPOCOM was an interesting show with a lot of potential. We can imagine it much bigger if they decide to host again next year. And if they do come back next year, we hope it is potentially indoors.
Until the next one!

Las Vegas has no shortage of automotive events. From local pop up meets to organized shows, there’s always something to experience within the valley at any day of the week. We almost missed this specific event that would have given us such a fear of missing out.
The Las Vegas heat has been in full force this season, especially in July. There’s only a handful of automotive events to look forward to including Fast Friday. First Friday of the month means another great super car social hosted by Fast Lane Drive’s Las Vegas Chapter held at General Admission LV inside the UnCommons plaza.
Of all grassroots motorsports events in Las Vegas, one event that always stands out is Vegas Drift. They’ve been a staple organizer hosting drift events every so often at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and they showcase a variety of cars and drivers with different skill levels from beginners to professionals who compete in Formula D. They have generated a huge drift community in Las Vegas and drivers from surrounding states tend to appear from time to time. And of course, the Las Vegas locals come out to play.
As the second Fast Friday hosted by Fast Lane Drive’s Las Vegas chapter, the turnout was great. The word spread well and more super car owners were in attendance as well as spectators from all over the Las Vegas valley. The weather was great and there were plenty of cars to appreciate. Similar to the first event, it was hosted at General Admission inside the UnCommons plaza.
A new and very interesting event has recently popped up in the Las Vegas area that has drawn the interest of automotive enthusiasts. It is basically a supercar social revolving around supercars, business people, and entrepreneurs.

Holley LS Fest West 2024 was a great event celebrating all things LS and LT powered hosted at our very own Las Vegas Motor Speedway. From car shows to motorsports, there was something for everyone to see. Whether USDM, Asian, Euro, kit cars, exotics, and basically anything you can put an engine in, a vehicle of the sort was there, all swapped to these power houses of engines. A lot of participants from all over the region came out to showcase their unique builds, driving skill, have a good time, and appreciate the sights and sounds of pure American muscle.
