HOLLEY LS FEST WEST 2024
Holley LS Fest West 2024 was a great event celebrating all things LS and LT powered hosted at our very own Las Vegas Motor Speedway. From car shows to motorsports, there was something for everyone to see. Whether USDM, Asian, Euro, kit cars, exotics, and basically anything you can put an engine in, a vehicle of the sort was there, all swapped to these power houses of engines. A lot of participants from all over the region came out to showcase their unique builds, driving skill, have a good time, and appreciate the sights and sounds of pure American muscle.
This event was broken down into a few different segments over the course of 3 days which included a car show, two autocross areas, drift, drag, off-road, a donut/burnout showcase, and mobile dyno. The schedule was jam packed and there was always something happening in different areas of the venue. There was no downtime on the action and the visitors always had something to enjoy.
LS Fest also hosted what they called a Grand Champion challenge where participants compete to test their builds in autocross, road course, and drag. It was very interesting to see how well-rounded a lot of these builds performed overall. As we went through the grids, we noticed some of Las Vegas’s very own time attack builds. It was time to party.
We attended all 3 days capturing as much as we could, searching for some of the most unique builds we could find in and out of action. It was a challenge trying to attend every segment as schedules overlapped but we managed to spread ourselves efficiently.
Day one was fairly slow due to inclement weather and the whole show halted from heavy rain. Once we arrived, there was no action for some time so we took the opportunity to prospect the area to see some of the builds. After the weather passed, everything resumed as normal and the drivers got ready to do their thing. The only downside was that the drivers had to face residual wet conditions.
Day two, however, was completely clear weather and it hosted the bulk of the overall event. There was so much action and the spectators flocked every area of the venue. We made an attempt to visit every single section to capture photos and watch these drivers showcase their skills. The Grand Challenge competitors also made their way around every segment they were competing in and eventually ended at the drag strip for some dusk and night time action.
The third and final day was the most laid back out of the whole weekend. Most of the participants and vendors had already started packing up and all the competitions were done. They hosted some exhibition events at each segment. The main showcase for the day was drift, in which drivers had a good amount of laps in.
Overall, Holley LS Fest West 2024 was an awesome event to attend. The pure passion these owners have put into their builds definitely showed throughout the whole weekend. You can see how proud they are of their builds and enjoy showcasing it to the world.
It was our first time attending any LS Fest and we are looking forward to the next. Thank you Antonio Sureshot for the opportunity to attend this event.
